I dot D

dot Design is me, my computer and all my stuff. So basically it’s a one man enterprise that I thought up during my first year at University. It was originally I dot Design as a alternate meaning to ID, which everyone has, since then I’ve simplified it down to the logo ‘dot’.

I had the idea that the dot would be the central focus around which I could apply my various skills such as Design or Illustration. In After Effects I created a concept intro video at http://vimeo.com/1450456, the font is alba but I wouldn’t want to be tied down to a specific font, I’d want the surrounding text to be more fluid. Able to change font, colour and size. The dot would be able to change colour but not font.

I even set about designing MiniCards that I would have printed from Moo.com, they’re a great printing company with a nice line up of products.

After having a look around COLOURlovers.com I was inspired to set about designing entirely colour gradient based designs to experiment and find delightful colour combinations, I designed a few of these and will probably print them off that some point.
